Historical tables encode meaning not only in their text but also in their spatial structure. Image Table Preditor combines segmentation, box detection, multiple OCR methods, table-layout reconstruction, and export in one workflow. AI proposes regions, cells, text, and layout. Researchers remain in control by reviewing and correcting each layer before exporting editable HTML or XLSX data. The presentation, co-authored with Werner Scheltjens, introduced the open-source project and invited researchers working with heterogeneous historical tables to test it on real sources and difficult layouts.
